Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the "studio lights" are so delightful........ Oh, wait a minute, I guess I have the lyrics wrong, but I am certainly finding it delightful to be able to be in my studio on a cold winter's day playing and "shooting" away!

Baby faces! Love em!
Christmas 2010
I enjoy going through the Christmas cards and letters before I file them away - we are blest to receive so many! And of course the photos are my favorite - I add them to a scrapbook and it is amazing to see how fast the kids grow up, especially those who we don't get to see very often.
Did I mention, that my husband and I have 63 great neices and nephews? And I was fortunate enough that several of these great neices and nephews were patient enough for me to practice my photography skills on! So receiving the Christmas photos this year was especially exciting as I saw you take the photos I made and put them into your family Christmas photos - thanks, you gave my ego a big boost!

Welcome to my new blog!
I'm so excited to introduce by new blog which will also serve as the webpage for Photography by Cathy Jo!
Wow, has it ever been a busy year! This passion for photography is consuming my thoughts, my free time, my life! And I'm loving it. I've always had a need for a creative outlet and I recognize now that this came from my mother who was a true artist as a china painter.
I love how photography allows me to be creative, but I also love that at the same time, I am making other people happy. Creating images that will freeze a moment in time for them to enjoy and look back on for many years to come is truly rewarding.
I hope you will stop by often as I share some of my favorite photos!
PS - Thank you to Rita from CoffeeShop Designs for the blog design and Heather for the logo design!
