Mary Jo and David's Garden of Eden Engagement Session!

Even the damp weather could not dampen the spirits of this couple! And we found a nice little garden that protected them from the worst of the drizzle, a little Garden of Eden. Thank you to Diane's Backyard Gardens of Beresford for sharing your lovely garden!

Maria and Doug are Engaged!

One of the most gratifying aspects of photography is the people you get to meet and spending time with them as they mark a happy occasion with photographs. Doug and Maria made the trip from Omaha last Satuday for their engagement photos and we had such a good time - their joy is contagious! I am glad we did this last weekend as it looks like Omaha was in the center of a winter storm that missed us up here. I hope Maria has gotten back from her trip this week and that her and Doug get to spend a nice, cozy weekend together!

Doug, you are such a great sport, to get down on one knee and re-enact the proposal on the Vermillion-Newcastle Bridge.....in the cold, with cars speeding by and passengers gauking. You are one lucky woman, Maria! Congratulations to the both of you! Can't wait to photograph the wedding and celebration afterwards in Bow Valley in September!

Katherine and Corey's Engagement Photos

I had an incredible afternoon on Sunday with Katherine and Corey who made the trip from Brookings to have their engagement photos taken. Our timing for outdoor photos was perfect for the light and the weather was so mild, hard to believe we could be so comfortable taking outdoor photos in January! Katherine and Corey are very fun and their excitment is contagious, I'm looking forward to their June 9th wedding!

Amber and Travis - Engaged!

Amber and Travis are getting married on May 12th in Yankton and they came in today for their engagement session. Photographing them was soooo much fun, they are such a sweet couple!

As many of you know, I have a very unique photo studio which was once an old fashioned feed store that sold feed, and fresh eggs and cream at one time. And to get to the studio you walk through the space dedicated to my husband's antique tractor collection. Well it turns out that Travis also loves old tractors, so it just thrilled my husband when a tractor was requested for the outdoor photo shoot!

Joe & Shana's Fall Engagement - Vermillion, South Dakota

Joe and Shana took advantage of hte beautiful fall we had to have their engagement photos done. It was a beautiful afternoon to walk and talk and take photos as we made our way to the top of the Vermillion Bluff and then back down. I can't wait for their August 2012 wedding!
